They say, “Paint the art you want to see in the world.” So, I painted these blush, powder blue and gray butterflies to decorate my daughters’ room. I thought of how intricate the colors and patterns are on their wings. How gracefully they flutter going from place to place. I could see the natural attributes in both my girls.
My happy place is the beach. I’m not sure if we can be friends if you don’t like the beach. Speaking of friends, this little collection is one of my all time favorites. I love our Carolina Coast and the creatures we can find there. From the protected sea turtle nests, the sanderlings, to the dolphins in the surf this collection just brings the smiles.
Oh Ice Cream
Oh, how I love ice cream! When it is summer time I want bright colors and sweet, cold ice cream! Growing up I worked at an ice cream shop and never once got tired of eating a cone every shift! This collection I ventured to social media and asked everyone’s favorite flavors. It’s amazing how interactive some topics are. There were flavors I never would’ve thought of. Being inspired by friends is the best! These made adorable little notecard sets.

"I Must Remember"
This year I took on the 31 day art challenge of inktober, founded by Jake Parker. The perimeters are draw something everyday, in ink, for the month of October. There is a prompt list you can follow. I followed it very loosely. Some pictures are quite the stretch. I decided to make 31 note cards for a set. That was the goal, I checked it off! The next level of the goal was to paint them and turn them into a set of cards to sell. And I DID IT! I couldn’t believe that I completed the challenge and actually sold them! I won’t talk numbers, but I was floored at the bottom line. I only mentioned it once on social media that they were for sale and I got tons of orders! Which card is your favorite?
